Cold Mechanical Compression
The mechanical compression of EPS waste increases the specific weight of the material (kg/m^3) and is achieved by cold EPS compactors.
This equipment consists of a crusher, where we also feed the material, as well as a screw that compresses the smaller pieces of material in order to finally form a block, known as briquette.
In cases of large capacities ( > 200 kg/hour), the mechanical compression can be achieved more easily using additionally a buffer silo. In that way the crusher can operate independently from the screw, which is fed by the silo in a stable rhythm.

Melting of the Material
In this process the EPS waste is melted through high temperature and finally comes out in the form of Ingot.
This process is carried out by a special EPS hot melt machine, where the material is fed into a crusher and is then heated up with resistances to be melted.
The Ingots are fed into a Hammermill in order to produce small sized pieces.
